Lightweight bout: Jim Miller vs. Kamal Shalorus
Miller defeated Shalorus via TKO (punches) at 2:15 of round 3

Didnt know much about Shalorus but it was a decent fight, Miller taking a 3rd round KO win which is allways cool to see 3rd round KOs.

Heavyweight bout: Mirko Filipović vs. Brendan Schaub
Schaub defeated Filipović via TKO (punch) at 3:44 of round 3

Had to back Schaub after Cro-Cops last fight with Mir and the fact hes getting near the end of his career but it was a decent fight and Schaub scored a 3rd round KO which wouldnt be easy when your up against a MMA legend like Cro-Cop.

Middleweight bout: Nate Marquardt vs.Dan Miller
Marquardt defeated Miller via unanimous decision (30–27, 30–27, 30–27)

Was backing Marquardt simply because hes a beast, loved this fight, had some mean exchanges and went the full distance with Marquardt taking the win with a Unan decision.

Bantamweight bout: Urijah Faber vs. Eddie Wineland
Faber defeated Wineland by unanimous decision (29–28, 29–28, 29–28)

Backed the cali kid because he allways puts on a good fight, this fight was pretty good, both fighters are mentally fast with there strikes. Faber walking away with the unan decision in his UFC debut.

Light Heavyweight Championship bout: Maurício Rua (c) vs. Jon Jones
Jones defeated Rua by TKO (strikes) at 2:37 of round 3 to become the new UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.

Was backing Shogun to win but didnt think he would get owned that hard on the ground, Jones is crazy talented and will definitely hold onto the title for a long time, which the light heavy division doesnt see all that often. Jones > Evans.

Going to be hitting this live tomorrow.

Im going to start tagging my update posts with numbers now since it will be easier to track and what not.
So last time I posted ive just been trying to get some B&R stuff orginised, if these plans do come alive then it will be huge for me and the B&R name so hopefully something comes of it.

There has been a tour announcement in AUS in MAY which is called the Destroy Music Tour which is such a beastly lineup consisting of The Amity Affliction, I Killed The Prom Queen, Deez Nuts & Of Mice & Men. Im seriously thinking about heading over to one of the shows since ive allways been a big fan of IKTPQ and now that they have Jamie Hope as singer (picture below), im sure it would be a awesome show.

Also ive been thinking about study opitions for next year, I think at this point in time ill be going to AUT for a BCT, Bachelor In Creative Technologies and major in Moving Image since ive allways had an interest in editing and presenting video projects to people, so I think that would be awesome to do.

So until update #2, PEACE!

Currently looking at getting a 500D or 450D with a standard lens. Really want to get into photography more and learn the ins and outs.

Might have to wait a little longer to have more saved up to drop on one.

I only read about the macbook scam that Jonny did, which is such a dickhead thing to do, lucky he has a good label and management firm that might be able to turn things around with his career and safe him a little bit.

“Craig Ericson of Rise and Eric Rushing of the Artery Foundation provided us with this joint statement:

“In regards to Jonny Craig; Jonny has checked himself into a professional detox treatment facility located in North Hollywood, CA. His addiction needed immediate attention and with the help from MusiCares, we were able to make it happen. Rise Records and Artery Management will reimburse all people who Jonny took advantage of financially. No one will be getting ripped off and we’d all like to issue a public apology to anyone who had been taken advantage of. Regarding live performances: the Emarosa/Chiodos tour will continue as planned with Tilian Pearson (former vocalist of Tides of Man) filling in for Jonny. All scheduled Dance Gavin Dance shows will happen as planned next month and beyond. Everyone from his team wishes Jonny the best in his recovery. We’re all looking forward to the new and improved Jonny.”

Thought this interview was good, explains where he started and how the company goes about signing…

“So my friend that I threw the other party with and I decided to try to promote a local show to see how well it would go. We put together a bill, and it sold out. There were about 500 people. We were stoked because we were like, “Wow, we can make money doing this.” [LAUGHTER] That was basically the start of it. It went from about one night a month, to two, until the point I was a full-time booker.”

Also Legacy was one of Arterys latest signings, I found these guys through there Manager Issac Reeder (MMIs Tour Manager) and thought they were awesome. Cant wait to see these guys explode into the scene!

Heres the results for the 126 card:

Main card

* Bantamweight bout: Miguel Torres vs. Antonio Banuelos
Torres defeated Banuelos via unanimous decision (30–27, 30–27, 30–27).
– This was a good fight, Torres was looking good as usual. Hope theres a title fight again involving this dude cause hes crazy.
* Welterweight bout: Jake Ellenberger vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha
Ellenberger defeated Rocha via split decision (27–30, 29–28, 29–28).

* Light Heavyweight bout: Jon Jones vs. Ryan Bader
Jones defeated Bader via submission (guillotine choke) at 4:20 of round 2.
– Was backing Bader for this fight but Jones fliped a choke on him which was dam impressive, its pretty cool that now he gets to fight for the light heavy title since Rashard blew out his knee in training.

* Light Heavyweight bout: Forrest Griffin vs. Rich Franklin
Griffin defeated Franklin via unanimous decision (29–28, 29–28, 29–28).
– Pretty even fight imo, Wanted Franklin to win by decision but didnt come through.

* Middleweight Championship bout: Anderson Silva (c) vs. BVitor Belfort
Silva defeated Belfort via KO (strikes) at 3:25 of round 1 to retain the UFC Middleweight Championship.
– WELL… this fight was short and suprising, Vitor got some hits in a Silva felt em before Silva delivered a HUGE kick straight up to Vitors chin and KOd him for quite awhile. Everyone was surprised to say the least, shit was crazy!

– Going to a Monarko game evening tonight with a mate that got some invites, hopefully jam some Marvel 3 which will be cool, releasing next week!
– Work tomorrow night, get some more money.
– And Tauranga next weekend!
